ABOUT US

The Meals on Wheels Association of Florida (MOWAF) comprises home-delivered and/or congregate meal programs all over Florida. This is our first year and MOWAF is making remarkable strides in establishing education and networking opportunities to members as well as preparing our efforts to advocate on behalf of seniors and adults with disabilities in need of nutritional support.

As a member, your organization will receive many benefits including ongoing communication, an opportunity to bring our cooperative efforts as leaders before senators and state representatives, a chance to attend the MOWAF Conference and other important matters that impact your success.

Meals on Wheels Association of Florida members benefit from training and development seminars offered at the annual Meals on Wheels Association of Florida Conference. Topics at the Conferences will include Volunteer Recruitment, Grant Research and Writing, Relating to the Media, Clients and Mental Health, and much more.

PUBLICATIONS

News alerts will be sent electronically to each member periodically. News articles concerning elderly nutrition as well as legislative information are sent out to keep members informed about issues affecting them.

LEGISLATION

Meals on Wheels Association of Florida plans to begin working on your behalf at our state capitol; however, we don't know what your particular program's ideas are unless you join our membership and let your voice be heard!

NETWORKING

Meals on Wheels Association of Florida members have the advantage of being in close communication with meal programs of all sizes. Your program can benefit from the experiences of other successful programs in Florida by learning what they are doing to become more efficient and effective.
