AN ADDITIONAL LEVEL OF SUPPORT

Meals on Wheels America created its State Association structure in 2008 to facilitate non-profit organizations and governmental agencies within the same state to work together to strengthen their senior nutrition services. State Associations provide the highest quality representation, education and training, and services to all their Members, and enhance their professionalism and the performance of the organizations they represent.

REASONS FOR INCORPORATING A STATE ASSOCIATION

  • To provide training and education to Members within the state to support the implementation of innovative ideas and concepts across a full range of operational and strategic initiatives

  • To undertake such lawful activities in furtherance of these purposes and in support of Meals on Wheels programs within the state

  • To advocate for effective legislation and policy as related to the Members within the state

  • To serve as a conduit for the exchange of ideas and information
