During this year’s Annual Business Meeting, we will approve the 2016 Annual Business Meeting minutes, introduce the 2017 Meals on Wheels America financial report, install Board members and open the floor for questions. In addition to these key matters of business, Meals on Wheels America’s Board Chair Ashley McCumber will share his vision, Chief Advocacy and Government Affairs Officer Erika Kelly will provide an advocacy update, and we'll here from partner Subaru of America.
3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – 2017 Meals on Wheels Expo & Raffle
This year’s Expo promises to be bigger and better than ever before, displaying the latest and greatest products and services designed to support your success. On display you’ll find a variety of offerings that range from prepared meals and technology solutions to fundraising consultation and everything in between. Stick around for your chance to take home some great raffle prizes!
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Farm-to-Fork Event: A Taste of Colorado
Enjoy a fun and relaxing evening with your fellow attendees as you experience locally sourced food and products from around Colorado without leaving the comforts of Sheraton Downtown. A forum for similar sized programs (small, medium or large) to network, share best practices, discuss common issues, challenges and solutions and enable you to learn from your peers.
10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Panel of Peers Sessions
These peer-to-peer learning sessions will feature actual Meals on Wheels program innovations relative to the core Leadership Academy competencies: Business Acumen, Organizational Planning, Food Services Management, Revenue Development, Planning for the Future, Relationship Building, Fiscal Responsibility and Organizational Planning. Each session is worth one credit towards a Meals on Wheels Leadership Academy Certificate or Specialist Certificate.
12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. – Member IdeasXchange
Attendees may select one of the following areas of focus for small group discussion on related challenges, opportunities and innovations: Rural Programs, Urban Programs, Suburban Programs, Congregate Programs, Healthcare-focused Programs or Privately Funded Programs.
