2021 SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDED BY THE HOME DEPOT FOUNDATION

Thanks to support from 2021 Platinum Sponsor and Meals on Wheels America National Partner, The Home Depot Foundation, we are pleased to provide need-based scholarships to Member programs with senior nutrition program budgets of less than $1,000,000 that would not otherwise be able to participate in the 2021 Meals on Wheels Virtual Conference and Expo this August. A scholarship would allow up to three staff or board members from your organization to participate in the full event free of charge.

ELIGIBILITY

Active dues-paying Meals on Wheels America Member programs with senior nutrition budgets of less than $1,000,000 are eligible to apply for one organizational scholarship that will allow up to three staff or board members to register for the 2021 Virtual Conference free of charge.

As a condition of accepting the scholarship, a program must:

  • be dues-paying Members of Meals on Wheels America at the time of application submission and remain in good standing through December 31, 2022;
  • maintain active nonprofit or government tax-exempt status; and
  • have the current Meals on Wheels America Member Badge (or licensed local version of the national brand), located here, on your organization’s website.

Scholarship applications will be judged based on financial need and what could be gained by attending. Applicants will be asked to describe their financial or organizational hardships and outline how this year’s Conference focus areas could help overcome these challenges.

NOTE: Only one application will be reviewed per organization. Before submitting an application, please confer with your staff on who will be submitting the application for your organization.

Applications must be submitted in our online grants management system no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT, Thursday, July 8, 2021.

Scholarship Announcements: Results will be communicated by the end of July.

Conference Registration: Scholarship award recipients will receive a unique discount code that will waive the cost of registering up to three individuals from the organization.
