Arlington, VA, August 16, 2022 – Meals on Wheels America, the national leadership association dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation, today kicks off its first Meals on Wheels Annual Conference and Expo in person since 2019 for more than 600 attendees consisting of senior nutrition leaders, industry experts, sponsors and exhibitors. An additional 200 Meals on Wheels leaders are participating virtually.
“This year’s much-anticipated return to our in-person convening will provide space to celebrate our dedicated network’s ability to persevere during challenging times, grieve the many losses our local programs have faced over the last two years, look forward to the opportunities ahead, and accelerate our network’s growth and reach,” said Ellie Hollander, President and CEO, Meals on Wheels America.
Since 1974, Meals on Wheels America has hosted an annual convening of experts and leaders from local senior nutrition programs for hyper-relevant and immersive learning, inspiring keynotes and conversations, and stimulating networking designed to connect, align and reinvigorate the network. The 2022 event is taking place at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront with virtual elements over four days and will focus on:

- Building capacity to serve more
- Readying local programs for a variety of sustainable partnerships
- Leading programs into the future
