Three-day gathering designed to align the network around what it will take to meet the growing and evolving needs of older Americans
Phoenix, AZ, August 16, 2023 – Meals on Wheels America, the national leadership association dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation, today kicks off its 2023 Meals on Wheels Annual Conference and Expo for nearly 700 attendees consisting of senior nutrition leaders, industry experts, sponsors and exhibitors from across the country.
“It is critical that the Meals on Wheels network has an annual Meeting of the Minds to tackle our most pressing challenges – from increasing demand, lack of funding, rising food and operational costs, difficulty recruiting and retaining staff and volunteers, and more. Since 1974, Meals on Wheels America has hosted an annual convening of experts and leaders from local senior nutrition programs for hyper-relevant and immersive learning, inspiring keynotes and conversations, and stimulating networking designed to connect, align and reinvigorate the network. The 2023 event is taking place at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge in Phoenix, AZ, and will focus on:
- Reaching unserved older adults by expanding capacity and optimizing resources.
- Further integrating nutrition and health to meet the evolving and complex needs of older adults.
- Collaborating at all levels to expand impact and influence, fortify our public-private partnership and explore innovative partnerships that will carry Meals on Wheels into the future.
